Time to market is important, so why spend time and money negotiating agreements when we have already done the work for you?
To simplify the technology transfer process and make it even easier to work with Scotland's universities, we have agreed a single set of standardised template agreements and documents.
This unprecedented step aims to replace many of the existing styles for contracting which could be complex for business and industry to navigate.
These agreements are geared more towards smaller business organisations that may not have the resources or previous experience in working with universities, so that they can see the likely terms and conditions that a university would seek when working collaboratively.
Larger organisations may have their own legal resources and their own agreement styles, which they would prefer to use as a basis for negotiation, and we would be happy to discuss those.
We are also willing to consider the use of the Lambert style agreements for collaborative research, if those agreements meet the requirements of both parties.
The following template agreements have been compiled using terms and conditions that we know to be more acceptable to our industry partners.
This should enable you and your company to quickly and easily access the best research and technology ideas from Scotland's universities.
These documents have been prepared under Scots Law.
Here are the key university contacts involved in agreeing these contract templates.
